Software:
The xPRO V5 comes fully assembled and programmed so all you need to do is wire up your motors, turn it on and start making!
From the computer side we have found that CNCjs Desktop is amazing and packed with great features! (open source / free download).
The xPRO V5 runs a port of the GRBL ESP32 firmware by Bart Dring, which is 32bit port of the GRBL by Sonny Jeon. As such, the xPRO V5 can be used with most current GRBL senders and post-processors.

The specs and price made this my 1st choice in new control box and it hasn’t disappointed.
I’m using 1.5kw water-cooled spindle with VFD and FoxAlien 40w/10w output laser. Install was a little quirky with much smaller community offering support than say OB Blackbox but the specs justified the risk. The GRBL 32 bit port opened better config options and while I have a laptop connected to my CNC, I like the wifi and SD card abilities.
If you’re a relatively new builder, tip for limit switches: the more detailed instructions suggest a NC/NO 3 wire config. NO can be wired in parallel. NC requires series. Incorporate that strategy:)
Maker Store was awesome as well!!!
